* RACHEL & JEREMY *

Their Friendship:

The relationship between Rachel Hurd-Wood and Jeremy Sumpter is one of strong friendship. Lets start with the begining of where they first met on the set of "Peter Pan (2003)". Jeremy had won the lead role as Peter Pan and was praticing the scenes where he was bouncing on the clouds. The director, P.J. Hogan, brought Rachel to the set because she was in the final stages of auditioning for the role as Wendy Darling and wasn't given the role at that time. But once Jeremy saw Rachel, he tried so hard to impress her by jumping as high as he could on the clouds that he almost got into an accident. Jeremy instantly had a crush on Rachel and later on asked the director if Rachel could be cast as Wendy.

The director saw how well the chemisty was between Rachel and Jeremy that he agreed and so Rachel was cast as the lead female role. In the film, most critics have commented and raved on how excellent Rachel and Jeremy's chemistry was displayed in the film and said that they worked great together. The actors Jeremy and Rachel brought the legendary characters Peter and Wendy to life.

Rachel though did not like Jeremy back but only as a good friend. They had fun together while filming "Peter Pan" and keep in touch with one another even though Rachel lives in England and Jeremy live in the U.S.
