An American Haunting is a chilling movie directed by Courtney Solomon and is based on the novel, "The Bell Witch" written by Brent Monahan. This story is based on actual true events in Tennesse during the early 1800's and is believed to be the only documented case of a real ghost or spirit.

The Bell's are being haunted by a spirit and the main target of the attacks is Betsy Bell, the daughter of John and Lucy Bell. The reason is unknown but in the end of this tale there are many twists and turns and an ending schocker.
